An aid in the treatment of Dermatophyte infections

Sterilises the coat of Dermatophyte spores reducing the spread of infection and contamination to the environment

Active Ingredients:

2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate -  A proven antibacterial with activity against gram positive bacteria (ie. Staphylococcus intermedius) and gram negative bacteria

2% Miconazole Nitrate -  An Imidazole antifungal with potent activity against gram positive bacteria, fungi and yeasts, especially Malassezia pachydermatis and Microsporum and Trichophyton species

ACTIONS

SEBORRHOEIC DERMATITIS

MALASEB contains a potent antifungal and an antibacterial to eliminate the Malassezia pachydermatis and Staphylococcus intermedius overgrowth, which result in Seborrhoeic dermatitis.
MALASEB’s unique formula removes damaged lipids without stripping the coat or skin, helping to normalise the skin's microenvironment.
MALASEB is the new, improved version of Dermcare’s SEBOLYSE™ Medicated Foam. Contains the same active ingredients as Sebolyse but minus the Selenium Sulphide (an additional keratolytic which may dry the skin). MALASEB’s unique base acts as a natural keratolytic without drying the skin.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
First wet the coat, then sponge MALASEB onto the animal’s coat and allow to stand for 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly. Do not leave an animal unattended during the standing period of 10 minutes. This is the minimum contact time to ensure antimicrobial activity. MALASEB should be used twice weekly until symptoms abate, and then weekly or as advised by your veterinarian.
