KelatoLYTE’s  balanced formulation more closely mimics the actual composition of a horses sweat making it extremely effective at helping to prevent poor performance due to sweat loss.

Individual horses sweat differently under differing work loads and climates. KelatoLYTE’s formulation and feeding directions are directly related to the amount of sweat lost, taking into account both the amount of work done and the climate. This means that you can ensure you are correctly replacing your horses sweat loss no matter what the climate. The addition of glucose in the KelatoLYTE formulation improves the uptake of the essential electrolytes into the gut (stomach) to quickly help prevent dehydration.

To also help maximise electrolyte uptake, it is advisable to split the daily KelatoLYTE dosage into more than one feed (eg. half the daily dose in the morning and half in the evening). The apple flavouring in KelatoLYTE makes it very palatable.

KelatoLYTE can be mixed with water to create an isotonic solution.

KelatoLYTE contains no bicarbonates and does not contravene the rules of competition.


Directions:

Feed 30g per day if the horse is simply sweating lightly.

This should be increased to 60g for moderate sweating or 90g for heavy sweating.

Spelling horses in hot environments also require 30g per day.

For better absorption, the daily dose of KelatoLYTE should be split into two feeds. Always ensure a supply of clean, fresh water is available when using this product. Do not add KelatoLYTE to your horse’s water.

For use as an isotonic drench, mix 60g of KelatoLYTE in 5 Litres of water. Always consult with your veterinarian before using an electrolyte drench. Electrolyte paste can also be formed by mixing 30g of KelatoLYTE with water or apple sauce. Electrolyte paste should not be used on dehydrated horses or those refusing to drink.
