Active Ingredient
Fluralaner 136.4g/kg
Fluralaner is for systemic use and belongs to the class of isoxazoline-substituted benzamide derivatives. Fluralaner is an inhibitor of the arthropod nervous system. The mode of action of fluralaner is the antagonism of the ligand-gated chloride channels (gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-receptor and glutamate-receptor).
Directions of Use
Bravecto should be administered orally as a single dose every 12 weeks according to the Dosage Schedule below to provide a minimum dose of 11.4 mg/lb (25 mg/kg) body weight.
Bravecto may be administered every 8 weeks in case of potential exposure to Amblyomma americanum ticks
Bravecto Chewable tablets for dogs is a chewable tablet for the treatment and prevention of flea infestation and control of brown dog tick and paralysis ticks. Bravecto Chewable tablets protect against fleas for 3 months and against the deadly paralysis ticks for 4 months. Bravecto Chewable tablets also controls Flea Allergy Dermatitis in dogs by controlling adult fleas. It can be used on puppies over 2 kg in weight and from 8 weeks of age and is safe to use on breeding, pregnant or lactating animals. It comes as an easy to administer, tasty, chewable tablet.
During the tick season, daily searching and removal of ticks is still recommended.
Caution
This product is for use in dogs and puppies 8 weeks or older and over 2 kg in body weight. Safety has been demonstrated in breeding, pregnant and lactating animals. Do not use in cats or other species. Call poison information centre if swallowed. Bravecto was well tolerated in all breeds including Collies with ivermectin sensitivity. Please consult your veterinarian before using Bravecto if your pet is receiving medication such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or warfarin.
Possible Side Effects
Mild and transient gastrointestinal signs such as diarrhoea, vomiting, inappetence and drooling may be observed. If signs persist or become more severe within a few days of administration, consult a veterinarian.
